Hosiden group has a variety of environmental preservation activities since 1987.

1987 A plan for reducing world freon was proposed through the Montreal Protocol of 1989. A strategy Planning for elimination ODS(Ozone- Depletion Substance) were started.
1989 Establishment of the Working Group for elimination of freon, with the objective of developing technology to permit a changeover to alternatives to the currently used chlorofluorocarbons.
1992 Installation of water-washing agents and washing agents of alternative to the currently used chlorofluorocarbons. Start of developing technology for washing-free.
1993 Total ban on the use of chlorofluorocarbons. Change the Working Group for elimination of freon into the ODS Countermeasure Committee. Countermeasure for the total elimination of chlorinated organic solvent and the elimination of the internal use of brominated flame retardants. Promotion of natural resources conservation and the recycling of wastes.
1997 December Establishment of the Working Group for the preparation of all Hosiden Group's environmental conservation activities and ISO14001 certification in December.
1998 April Establishment of the ISO System & Environmental Planning Department in April.
July Establishment of the Hosiden Group's environmental philosophy and environmental policy in July.
August Mr.Furuhashi,president's declaration of kick off for ISO14001 certification in August.
September Establishment of the Hosiden Group's environmental management organization in September.
1999 July Establishment of the Working Group for the Lead-free in July.
October Hosiden Kyushu Corp. acquired ISO14001 certification in October.
December Hosiden Seiko Corp. acquired ISO14001 certification in December.
2000 May Establishment of the Lead-free Project in May.

October Hosiden Corp. Tokyo Factory & Gumma Sales office acquired ISO14001 certification in October.
December Qingdao Hosiden Electronics Co.,Ltd. acquired ISO14001 certification in December.
2002 April Lead & halogen-free Project changed to "Toxic Chemical Substances Study Group" in April.
July HTS A2106-2002, "Regulation of the use of Environment-related substances to be controlled in electrical and electronic equipment" was released in July.This document shows control criteria for toxic chemical substances used in parts and devices constituting Hosiden group products or in their production processes
August Presentation meeting for measures of environmental control substances was held intended for vendors in August. (the first time)
2003 January HTS A2106-2003, "Regulation of the use of Environment-related substances to be controlled in electrical and electronic equipment" was released in January. (the revision of HTS A2106-2002 released in July, 2002)
February "Hosiden group basic policy for substances of concern such as lead free" was released in February.
August Hosiden Corporation acquired ISO14001 certification in August.
2004 March "Regulation of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment - A2106-2004" was issued in March. (The revision of HTS,`2106-2003 issued in January, 2003.)
July Presentation meeting for measures of environmental control substances was held intended for vendors in July. (the second time)
2005 April "Regulation of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment - A2106-2005" was issued in April. (The revision of HTS,`2106-2004 issued in March, 2004.)
2006 June "Regulation of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment - A2106-2006" was issued in June. (The revision of HTS,`2106-2005 issued in April, 2005.)
2007 March China Hosiden Factory acquired ISO14001 certification.
2008 May
  • Hosiden Technology (Qingdao) Co., Ltd. acquired ISO14001 certification.
  • "Regulation of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment - A2106-2008" was issued in May.(The revision of HTS.`2106-2006 issued in Jun, 2006.)
July Tokyo Branch acquired ISO14001 certification.
2009 April Tianjin Hosiden Electronics Co.,Ltd. acquired ISO14001 certification in April.
2010 July "Regulation of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment -A2106-2010" was issued in July.(The revision of HTS, 2106-2008 issued in May,2008)
August Hosiden Besson Ltd. acquired ISO14001 certification in August.
2011 April Hosiden Vietnam (Bac Giang) Co., Ltd. acquired ISO14001 certification in April.
2012 January China Hosiden Factory (LCD Factory) acquired ISO14001 certification in January.
May "Regulation of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment -A2106-2012" was issued in May.(The revision of HTS, 2106-2010 issued in July,2010)
